Our Atelier Adventure!
Step into the tradition of great artists with our Atelier Class. An atelier is a traditional art studio where students train closely with a professional artist, learning step-by-step skills the same way artists were trained for hundreds of years. It's a place where artists learn by doing. Students receive personal guidance from a skilled instructor, working on exercises and projects designed to build strong, classical drawing and painting abilities.

Starting in Jan 2026, we will have 3 Atelier classes available:

-
Wed mornings
-
Wed Afternoons
-
Wed Evenings
This is an intensive, skill-based program anchored in the timeless traditions of realist art where visual art education is built on a foundation of drawing and painting skills. You’ll develop a strong foundation in drawing, value, proportion, and form before moving into painting. Activities initially include Bargue drawing, cast drawing/painting, and later move into figure drawing/painting, portrait drawing/painting, and still life. Learn through observation, repetition, and mentorship in a focused studio environment.

Our curriculum provides a clear progression and development for any artist interested in academic realism. Each student will have a progression plan and individual assignments based on where they are in their artistic journey. We'll review any previous work and design individual assignments based on your education and/or experience. Beginner to advanced students are welcome!
