Beginner Portrait Painting

Painting a portrait can be challenging, but we want to help you by breaking down the process step-by-step. This course is perfect for those new to portrait painting or those who want to improve their portrait painting skills. We will start with basic information about drawing the head such as proportions, planes of the head, placement of the features, and general measurements. We will go step-by-step through the process. We will work in layers starting with a monochrome underpainting, then moving to a first layer, second layer, and then finishing details. Each week, Robin will provide a demo and students will work on their portraits with individual critiques and guidance.
